Safer Sex

Safer sex is anything you do to reduce your risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The basic safer sex rule is to prevent contact with a partner’s body fluids, especially semen, vaginal secretions, and blood.  Abstinence is the most effective way to avoid STDs. But if you're sexually active, you can reduce your risk by having outercourse instead of intercourse and by using condoms and other barriers whenever you do have intercourse.
