Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that commonly affects teens. Many teens don’t realize they’re infected because gonorrhea often has no symptoms. Health care providers can treat gonorrhea with antibiotics, but if left untreated, it can cause health problems, including infertility. You can use condoms for vaginal and anal sex to reduce your risk of getting gonorrhea.
